What is wrong with my youtube ?

Ever since youtube changed their page layout or w/e when i look at anything it just freezes the whole page or as soon as it loads you can hear stuff but the whole page freezes. what could be causing this to happen. And i have a mac btwWhat is wrong with my youtube ?The cause of your problem is simple: your %26quot;cache%26quot;

memory %26amp; %26quot;temporary internet files%26quot; are nearly full.

This is especially true if you've been watching lots

of videos or playing a lot of games/music.

If you are experiencing either: A) slugglish loading

or buffering, B) that %26quot;spinning circle%26quot; looking like it

could seemingly go on forever, C) %26quot;choppy%26quot; videos

that start/stop/start/stop frequently, D) videos that

sometimes come to a complete freeze or perhaps

E) videos with good audio, but slow (or no) picture...

Exit out of YouTube (but not your browser) and do

one of the steps below. Afterwards, shutdown and

reboot. Not only will this %26quot;free up%26quot; your computer's

memory, everything will be %26quot;fresh%26quot;, and load faster:

Apple Safari 3:

鈫?Edit 鈫?Preferences

鈫?Security (tab) 鈫?Show Cookies

鈫?Remove All 鈫?Done

after that:

鈫?Safari 鈫?Empty Cache 鈫?Empty

after that:

鈫?History 鈫?Clear History

Apple Safari 4:

鈫?Safari 鈫?Reset Safari

[x] Clear history

[x] Empty the cache

[x] Clear the downloads window

[x] Remove all cookies

鈫?Reset

DON'T FORGET TO SHUT DOWN AND REBOOT

AFTER DOING ONE OF THE ABOVE.

If you have other applications which are running at

the same time, those will slow down YouTube too.

If you have %26quot;Torrents%26quot;, you might want to consider

closing or uninstalling them. A couple people who

chose me as %26quot;Best Answer%26quot; wrote that everything

worked great after they'd uninstalled their Torrents.

For some reason, simply closing them didn't work.

Also, %26quot;Adblock Plus%26quot;, various Instant Messengers

and literally every %26quot;stupid video accelerator%26quot; under

the sun is known to interfere with YouTube.

Another thing you may want to consider is turning

off your anti-virus -- but only momentarily. As long

as you remain on YouTube (and do not wander off

to other websites), you will be okay, because you

cannot get a virus from YouTube.

And lastly, you can easily check your speed here:

http://www.youtube.com/my_speedWhat is wrong with my youtube ?ummm.. I have a PC, but this sounds like a question you should send youtube itself.What is wrong with my youtube ?maybey your flash player is unresponsive, mine did this and constantly froze, if you leave it too long the plug in will crash, try a new one: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/What is wrong with my youtube ?This is a problem with the new youtube layout and opera and safari seem to be the ones suffering the most. Hopefully youtube/google will fix it themselves soon but until then, there are three fixes I know of for Opera if that is what you are using:

1)

Create a custom javascript workaround here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/youtube/thread?tid=46dd241356fbad51%26amp;hl=en

2)

change the url in the address bar to the embedded url

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkdsOWfSXME

^- Link does not work give you %26quot;upgrade%26quot; error

change it to:

http://www.youtube.com/v/qkdsOWfSXME

^- Now it will work.

3)

Block %26quot;www-core-new-vfl160018.js%26quot; from running on youtube

1.Go to youtube

2.Right click

3.Select %26quot;Block content%26quot;

4.Select %26quot;Details%26quot;

5.Select %26quot;add%26quot;

3.Paste this -%26gt; http://s.ytimg.com/yt/jsbin/www-core-new-vfl160018.js

4.Press %26quot;Close%26quot;

5.Press %26quot;Done%26quot;

The second option should work for you in Safari if its the same problem. There may be a way to block content in Safari for option 3 but I do not know how. If I have time I will look it up and edit this comment but until then you may want to do a search.
