http://www.youtube.com/user/chaoticmatteHow to upload your thumbnail on youtube without choosing it?Times have changed. YouTube now chooses
three %26quot;random%26quot; stills from the uploaded video.
Gone are the days when you could play with
the %26quot;frames%26quot; of your video, knowing YouTube
would offer you a thumbnail at the 25%, 50%
and 75% marks.
This was all very meticulously explained in a
YouTube blog posting on last December 2nd:

For the time being, only YouTube's %26quot;partners%26quot;
have %26quot;unlimited%26quot; possibilities for their thumbs,
including using stills that don't have anything
to do with the video that they pertain to.
If you want to do something sneaky, make a
short 10-second %26quot;still%26quot; video of the thumbnail
you would like to have, upload that, and then
annotate it with a direct link to your video.
